On Thursday November 22, WCC
will be coordinating the efforts of volunteer college students from Appalachian
University who will be canvassing the area and meeting homeowners to assess
their needs for muck out. With over 200 volunteers between Friday November
23rd and Saturday November 24th WCC will be working with
team of volunteers to muck out the homes of residents in Far Rockaway.
In Staten Island, WCC will be
continuing their door to door assessment of elderly and individuals in the
underserved areas who are still without power or heat and hand out sleeping
bags, this has been a continuous effort and to date we have distributed over
700 sleeping bags.
