Hurricane Sandy has dramatically impacted the Mid-Atlantic region of the
United States. NECHAMA staff will arrive in the NY & NJ area later today.
We will begin assessing cleanup needs and meeting with local partner
organizations once first responders and utility crews have secured the affected
communities.
We will work as rapidly as possible to determine where NECHAMA can be of
service and then establish a base of operations. At that point we will provide
details on how to volunteer with us on the ground. NECHAMA has deployed a
disaster response trailer from our headquarters in Twin Cities, MN to support
this effort.
