India has started its first foodbanking network to feed the poor in a country that is home to almost half the world's undernourished children. The India FoodBanking Network opened the first food bank this summer, the Delhi FoodBank, run by Aidmatrix, to help address the issues of hunger and malnutrition in India.
“To
stamp and make the initiative official, The Times of India in association with
Aidmatrix Foundation India, on October 17, organised an event on the Delhi
FoodBank, a non-profit enterprise which serves to feed the needy,” wrote Aditi Sharma, from The Times of India, in
their feature appropriately titled ‘FoodBanking:
Turning Dreams Into Reality Collectively Through Food’. Click the image below to read the full feature on the India FoodBanking Network in The Times of India.
