Save the Children Assesses Situation After Hurricane Sandy



Approximately 18 hours have passed since Hurricane Sandy came roaring ashore near Atlantic City.  Save the Children continues to assess the damage but it’s clear that the storm was devastating, particularly to communities in New Jersey and New York.  We conservatively estimate a need for $1 million for child care recovery and other services, though that number may very well climb once our assessment is complete.
