Gulf Coast States' Preparation & Response to Isaac
Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana offices of emergency services all had preparations in place prior to the storm making landfall so that they could assess the damage and begin the recovery efforts more quickly. Part of these efforts include each Gulf Coast States' participation in the National Donations Management Network (NDMN), a web-based solution for connecting the business community with emergency workers' needs following a disaster.
Aidmatrix and Microsoft Team Highlight Needs After Isaac Makes Landfall

Congratulations to Second Harvest North Florida in Jacksonville. They
are our newest (and 43rd) Feeding America member Food Bank to implement
the AgencyExpress® Online Ordering
system. We look forward to much good news from them as they introduce
and roll out online ordering to their network of over 450 nonprofit
organizations in 17 counties.  Their banner says it all: Feeding North
Florida - We Nourish Hope™. AgencyExpress is a web-based
application specifically customized to work with the
Feeding-America-supported warehouse system. It enables the food banks to
make their inventory visible to agencies while empowering the agencies
to easily place orders online. The result: more humanitarian relief gets
delivered more quickly to those in need.  |
