Last week it was my honor to speak at and participate in a
panel at the Telecentre Europe Annual Conference in Warsaw, Poland. The
Telecentre movement focuses on providing internet and other technology access
to those who do not have that enablement mechanism to improve their
lives. Telecentres often build upon that work to provide value-added
programs, such as IT Training, entrepreneur services and more to their
communities. I learned a great deal from attendees, ranging from field
implementers to strategists working with the Bill & Melinda Gates
Foundation’s efforts in Europe. Our partners at TechSoup
disseminated the results of their Cloud Survey, which Aidmatrix helped distribute
immediately after its release. Microsoft was a key sponsor of the
conference, and their personnel showed their leadership in this sector, once
again. Through Telecentre Europe, Aidmatrix and our partners will gain
access to a significant amount of resources that would not have been available
without engaging with this highly leveraged organization.
