Moore, Oklahoma Tornado Disaster Response

Aidmatrix is currently working with the State of Oklahoma Emergency Services and the State Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) and our other nonprofit partners in the area from Food Banks to Pet Shelters as assessments are being made and needs begin to emerge from the top-of-the-scale EF-5 tornado, with winds over 200 mph, that hit Moore, OK on May 20, 2013.During these times, coordination of relief efforts is critical so that the right aid is delivered where it is needed most.

We are already helping the relief efforts in Moore. We are helping coordinate and pre-position resources from multiple agencies and corporations to support the recovery efforts where and when those resources are most needed.  At the same time, it is our responsibility to help ensure that a secondary disaster of un-needed goods are prevented from coming into the disaster zone causing even more work for the first responders on the scenes right now.

  • We are coordinating donation shipments and logistics services from our corporate partners for food, equipment, cleanup kits, and pet supplies for delivery to pre-authorized staging areas for Food Banks and Pet Shelters and will continue this work for the immediate and long-term recovery efforts.
  • Our teams will continue to work online and on the ground to fulfill the needs of the community as we enter the first of many stages of disaster response.
Our teams are preparing to deploy to the area to assist directly with the relief efforts. We know that during these times, coordination of relief efforts is critical so that the right aid is delivered where it is needed most.
