Donations Being Offered to Aid Colorado Wildfire Victims

There have already been thousands of volunteers offering their time and services and hundreds of individuals offering product donations through helpcoloradonow.org and the National Donations Management Network - Colorado portal to aid in the relief efforts for victims of the Colorado Wildfires. 60,000 products have been offered through the system with an estimated value of more than $450,000. Product offers include: cleaning supplies, building supplies, warehouse space, donations of free meal tickets at local restaurants and housing for those victims displaced from their homes.

There are currently 19 needs posted by the relief community that are in high demand by the relief agencies, including rechargeable batteries, chainsaws for the fire department, cleaning supplies and personal care products. For a full list of Needs, click here

Financial Gifts are the best way to help

While a donation of a physical item such as a coat or pair of shoes may feel more meaningful than a small cash donation, the truth is that even a small amount of money can go so much further.  The same amount of money that it costs to package and ship an item can be used to secure two or three times that amount locally. A donation of just $5 or $10 can make a huge difference.
