NASEDOVOC & Aidmatrix National Donations Management Network Training Webinar

On Friday, May 9th, NASEDOVOC and Aidmatrix held a joint training webinar for members of the National Donations Management Network (NDMN). All states, members and partners of the NDMN were invited to join this Basic 101 training. The training covered the workflow tasks for the admin/recipient for accepting/declining in-kind donation offers, and entering/publishing needs for donors to fulfill.

“Great training today!  This was good basic NDMN training – the kind that all states, members and partners should embrace.  Good job Cari Leidholt (NASEDOVOC) and Mike Seifert (Aidmatrix) for producing another important NDMN training event.” – Dante Gliniecki, Statewide Volunteer Coordinator, State of Missouri, State Emergency Management Agency

The NDMN connects more than 49 U.S. States and 3 US territories & city governments with members of Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) to create a network for immediate response in the event of a disaster. These parties are able to share information and donations online in real-time, using supply chain management, volunteer management and fundraising technologies.

Most of the NDMN community is currently together in Indianapolis for the National VOAD Conference.

Arkansas Multi-Agency Warehouse Set Up for Adventist Community Services for Tornado Relief Efforts

The Aidmatrix SCM4Giving™ team recently set up a multi-agency warehouse in Conway, Arkansas, which is being managed by Adventist Community Services. The multi-agency relief warehouses will be used to organize and distribute donations for those affected by the recent tornadoes. 16 people - in Pulaski, Faulkner, and White Counties in central Arkansas - died from the tornadoes that occurred on April 27th. More than 260 homes were destroyed and numerous businesses damaged.

The National Lift of Arkansas loaned a fork lift (seen in the image to the right) to be used in the warehouse operations to support the relief efforts. Adventist Community Services will be handling the donations management for the state and the National Donations Management Network. With the SCM4Giving Warehouse Management module, ACS will be able to track inventory in real-time, receive goods, load those goods into inventory, monitor daily shipments, receipt activities and run reporting with ease.

Save the Children International, Save the Children US and Aidmatrix teams meet in London

The Aidmatrix SCM4Good™ team, along with CEO Mark Theilken, was in London last week meeting with the Save the Children International and Save the Children US teams. The three groups were reviewing current success to-date in the relief locations in Ethiopia using SCM4Good, as well as future collaboration and planning. We are grateful for this team’s hard work to make this possible – helping to envision and build a roadmap for INGO supply chain management. We’re also looking forward to taking these learnings and strengthening our solutions for the humanitarian relief community.
