Tropical Storm Isaac
unleashed heavy rain and winds off Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands on
Thursday and is expected to continue to strengthen as it crosses over Puerto
Rico. The Puerto Rico Office of Emergency Services, FEMA and the relief
community are standing ready to assess the damage and begin the recovery
process.
Isaac also poses a big
threat to Haiti, where it should hit over the weekend, and to Florida, where it
should make landfall by Monday, August 27.
As always, cash
donations are the most useful to the relief agencies so they can acquire the
precise materials needed.
